Nicole Fermie Trio

After a few years spent gigging on the acoustic strip in Bath, Nicole finally found her groove by swapping an acoustic guitar for a Fender Strat and hitting the road as a trio with a drummer and bassist.
Nicole and her trio cite influences as wide-ranging as Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Gemma Hayes, Jamiroquai, Jill Scott, the Meters and Sheryl Crow. This all combines to produce an energetic mix of soul, funk, hip-hop and rock, all with an acoustic undercurrent.

This young trio are each extremely talented in their own right, yet sensitive to each other's playing. They enjoy playing together, and revel in jamming during a set, bouncing off their audiences' energy.
This has led to a string of successful gigs in the South-west, which attracted the attention of their now producer Tim Oliver, known for his work with Goldfrapp (with whom Nicole has since sung backing-vocals) and the Happy Mondays. The trio will soon be releasing an EP, 'Taxi' on Tim's label, Top Cat Records, with an album to come later in the year.
